2026/2027 NJC 16/18U Showcase Team Program Overview & Tuition

At NJ Challenge, we are committed to providing a premier, all-inclusive development experience for dedicated athletes. Our program is designed to develop strong fundamentals, increase softball IQ, build confidence, and prepare athletes for success both on and off the field.​

What sets NJ Challenge apart is that our tuition is not simply paying for uniforms, practices, and tournaments. Our program is built around the complete development of the athlete. We believe in investing in the player as a whole—physically, mentally, emotionally, and athletically.

For the 2026-2027 season, NJC has significantly expanded its athlete development model, providing more athlete development opportunities than ever before. In addition to our proven training structure, the 2026-2027 season introduces position-specific development clinics, bi-annual athlete assessments and benchmarking, expanded mental performance programming, athlete and parent development events featuring guest speakers, and enhanced athlete accountability and development tracking.

• Full NJC uniform package

• Outdoor field rentals and additional team practice opportunities

• Specialized hitting, defensive, and position-specific training

• 40+ indoor facility rentals dedicated to team practices and specialized skill development

• 8-Week Winter Speed, Agility & Strength Development Program

• VBS Mental Performance & Visualization Training

• Indoor facility access for weather-related training and team practices

• Annual Organization-Wide Hitting & Mindset Clinic with Coach Lisa

• Professional Year-Round Coaching Staff Comprised of Experienced, Vetted, and Hired Softball Professionals

• Bi-Annual Athlete Metrics & Development Assessments featuring performance benchmarking, athletic testing, and data-driven progress tracking

• Position-Specific Development Series featuring Fall, Winter, and Spring Clinics for Pitchers, Catchers, Infielders, and Outfielders

As a development-focused organization, NJC is proud to be a data-driven program. Through athlete assessments, performance tracking, coach evaluations, and measurable benchmarks, we help athletes and families clearly track growth and development throughout the season.

When compared to other premier showcase organizations throughout the Northeast, NJ Challenge provides one of the most comprehensive athlete development experiences available—combining elite competition, college recruiting exposure, year-round training, and measurable player development into one all-inclusive program.

Tuition & Payment Structure

​​

• The full tuition for the NJC 2026-2027 season is $4,195.00

• This all-inclusive tuition includes everything listed above.

• To secure a roster spot, a non-refundable deposit of $595.00 is due upon signing the Player and Parent Contracts by the designated deadline.

The remaining balance will be split into two installments:

• $1,800 due September 4, 2026

• $1,800 due January 4, 2027

​

Roster spots are not guaranteed until the non-refundable deposit, signed Player Contract, and signed Parent Contract have been received. All roster offers are valid for 48 hours from the time the offer email is sent. If the deposit and required documents are not received within 48 hours, the offer may be rescinded, and the roster spot may be offered to another athlete.

Tuition Policy

All tuition payments are non-refundable. By committing to a roster spot, families secure an athlete's place on the team, and NJ Challenge immediately allocates funds toward uniforms, equipment, tournament registrations, umpire fees, facility rentals, field rentals, coaching staff, player development resources, and operational expenses.

If a player or family chooses to leave the team after accepting a roster spot, the full tuition remains due regardless of participation. This policy allows NJ Challenge to continue providing the high level of coaching, development opportunities, training resources, and athlete support that define our program.

Additional Information

​​

At NJC, we believe in complete transparency. While tuition covers the extensive athlete development experience outlined above, families are responsible for personal travel-related expenses associated with tournament weekends, including lodging, meals, and transportation. Our goal is to provide elite competition while remaining mindful of family time, travel demands, and overall athlete well-being.

​

As a general guideline, NJC strives to keep tournament travel within approximately two hours of Bergen County whenever possible. While tournament schedules and availability can vary from year to year, our coaching staff intentionally seeks quality competition that minimizes excessive travel demands on families.

​​

Should the organization choose to pursue a National Championship event or a destination tournament, those opportunities will be decided well in advance and are not automatically included in the team's seasonal schedule.

​​

To further enhance the athlete experience, NJ Challenge may host one to two organization-wide fundraisers each year. Participation helps provide additional opportunities and resources beyond what is already included in tuition.

​

Proceeds from these fundraisers are reinvested directly back into our athletes and programs through opportunities such as:

• NJ Challenge swag bags and athlete gifts

• Additional field rentals and playing opportunities

• Supplemental performance and position-specific clinics

• Special guest instructors and development opportunities

These fundraising opportunities allow us to continually invest in our athletes and enhance the overall NJ Challenge experience by providing additional development opportunities, resources, and team experiences beyond what is already included in tuition.
